Inside Brew & Bloom I: A Mocktail Journey Through the Cycle

Singapore, meet micro mindfulness. 🌸
A few weeks ago we hosted Brew & Bloom at the beautiful Casa Marra — our first ever event outside Indonesia. If you were there, thank you for trusting us with your evening. If you weren't, here's a little taste of what happened.

Why cycles, why mocktails
We wanted to create something that felt less like a lecture and more like a gathering of women (and men who care about their women) who've never been taught to actually listen to their bodies. So instead of a straightforward seminar, we built the evening around the women phases — menstrual, pregnancy, pre and post menopause — and paired each phase with a mocktail designed to support what the body is actually asking for at that time.
No two phases want the same thing. Your body during your period is not the same body ovulating two weeks later, and most of us have never been told that's normal, let alone shown what to do about it.
How the evening unfolded
We split the 90 minutes into three parts:
The seminar — a grounded, science-backed walk through the four cycle phases: what's happening hormonally, what your energy and appetite naturally do, and why working with your cycle (instead of against it) changes everything.
The demo — a live walkthrough of four cycle-aligned mocktails, each built around ingredients that echo what the body needs in that phase — think warming, iron-supportive botanicals for menstrual days and something brighter and more energising for the follicular phase.
The making + tasting — the room got hands-on: muddling, shaking, garnishing with dried rose petals, lemongrass, butterfly pea, and hibiscus, and tasting the colour of each phase, quite literally.
What stayed with us
The thing that struck us most wasn't the drinks — as beautiful as they were — it was watching a room full of women (and man) realise, out loud, that the fatigue or the cravings or the mood shifts they'd been quietly apologising for were never something to fix. They were information.
That's the whole premise of micro mindfulness, really. Wellness doesn't have to be a grand overhaul. Sometimes it's a 90-minute room, a glass in your hand, and permission to notice.
What's next
Brew & Bloom was our first step into Singapore, and it won't be the last. If this is the kind of evening you want to be part of — or bring your own city into — follow along @micro.mindfulness for what's coming next.
